I used to look into the mirror
And gag in disgust.
Couldn't stand the sight of me,
Make-up was a must.
I'd slide the silver
Across my arms,
Hoping to add confidence
To my charms.
From wide ruled to college,
I thought I'd found the cure.
Until I had reached my limit,
All I could endure.
The night I found my sense,
I knew to face my fear.
I found myself standing
Across the bathroom mirror.
I gave myself a long look,
And then began to think...
"Who's this fine woman I see?"
While giving myself a wink.
And gag in disgust.
